SCBI in the Community

Bioethics in Practice Workshop

On a monthly basis SCBI conducts informal bioethics workshops as part of our continued attempts to engage more constructively with the community. Workshops feature presentations by Institute staff on issues ranging from abortion and drug-addiction, to neo-natal care and natural law ethics. All workshops are concluded with question and answer time and group discussion. A current series (May-June 2010) is being run on issues related to Euthansia. Please contact the institute for information about when the next workshop will be held.

Protecting the life and care of your children, your children's children, born or unborn, handicapped or abled, your mother or father, during pregnancy, sickness or dying has never before been so complicated. Southern Cross Bioethics Institute continually strives to uphold a respect for universal and intrinsic human values including the inalienable right to life of every member of the human family. Please help us to continue to exist and support our research projects with a financial gift. Your generosity supports us in our commitment to harmonise biomedical research, healthcare and technology with fundamental human values.
